Full, Not Finished - A Mid-Year Check-In
We're Halfway There
I am back from vacation and it was really amazing! As I re-enter reality, I realized we’re coming up on June 30, the midpoint of the year, and we're just a few days past the summer solstice. This "halfway" moment naturally invites reflection as the days slowly begin to shift and we move into a different rhythm of the year.
Reflecting and Choosing
When you think back on the first six months of 2026, what stands out to you? Not just what you’ve done, but what you’ve experienced, learned, and moved through along the way.
Sometimes we move so quickly that we don’t fully take in all that’s happened. And when you pause long enough to really look, there’s probably more there than you realized at first.
On our recent Alaska cruise, I was surrounded by so much natural beauty and awe. I also did so many fun activities with my family. I was living at a totally different pace with not much pulling my attention away from the present moment, which created space in a way that everyday life doesn’t really allow.
Learning how long the glaciers have been there, hundreds and even thousands of years, put things into perspective and reminded me just how short our time is and how intentional I want to be with it.
So as you sit with your own reflection, I’m curious where you find yourself right now. How are you feeling in THIS moment? What feels like it’s calling your attention as you look toward the second half of the year?
For me, the year started with a lot of momentum. There were new clients, a few minor health things to take care of, a really fulfilling local leadership program, and quite a bit of travel that brought meaningful time with family and friends - Washington DC with my son, Rome with my best friend, NJ for some networking, and Vancouver and Alaska for our latest family vacation!
And while all of it has felt aligned and worthwhile, I can also see how much I packed into these first six months. I don't necessarily feel tired, but it does feel like I need to take it down a notch.
Like feeling full in a good way but realizing I can't fit much more in (if that isn't a metaphor for the eating on a cruise ship, I don't know what is!)
So I’m noticing a shift toward something more internal. A desire to create more space, even as I continue supporting my clients and showing up for what matters.
For me, that looks like being more intentional with my days, especially in the small ways that tend to get pushed aside when life feels full. Making sure I’m prioritizing movement, paying closer attention to how I’m eating, and giving my body the support it’s asking for.
I’ve also been navigating a minor ankle and knee aggravation, which has come with a few extra appointments and interruptions. Throw in the kids' orthodontist appointments and their stuff - and I feel like I live at the doctor's office sometimes!
And while that doesn't feel convenient, I’m reminding myself that this is part of taking care of the foundation of our health that allows us to keep doing what we love.
You can't keep the pedal to the metal in your car without stopping for oil changes, tire rotations, and gas. Similarly - we can push for a period of time, but if we want to get to our destination, we need to take care of ourselves.
So maybe this is a moment for you to check in with yourself in an honest way. To acknowledge all that you’ve done, and to notice what you might need now as you move forward.
If it feels helpful to have space to think that through more intentionally, that’s something I’m here to support you with. A few thoughtful questions can open up more clarity than trying to figure it all out on your own - and I know how hard it is to carve out space for yourself.
I'm happy to hold that space for you as you define what the second half of the year can look like for YOU. You can schedule a free 30-minute call HERE.
